At the end of last year,the Fujian Provincial Science and technology plan project"development and industrialization of distributed organic waste aerobic fermentation equipment"(hereinafter referred to as"the project"),led by the Institute of urban environment,Chinese Academy of Sciences,landed in Caizhai village,Tong'an,and processed a large amount of kitchen waste into organic fertilizer.
Nowadays,the villagers of Caizhai village actively participate in waste classification,apply organic fertilizers made of kitchen waste to fields and orchards,and take the lead in the development of circular economy that"kitchen waste cannot leave the village,and local treatment becomes resources".It not only solves the problems of difficult classification of rural kitchen waste and difficult resource utilization after classification in the process of innovation and breakthrough and adjusting measures to local conditions,but also provides a leading demonstration for Xiamen to gradually form a new model of waste classification and regional resource circulation that is reduced,practical,ecological and resourceful,so as to effectively improve the rural living environment and help rural revitalization and development.
The daily treatment capacity of transforming garbage into organic fertilizer can reach two tons
Kitchen waste contains a large amount of organic matter,also known as"organic waste",which is easy to rot,sour and stink,breeding mosquitoes and flies,and needs to be cleaned and transported in time and treated efficiently.At the end of last year,a"artifact"landed in Caizhai village,Tong'an District.Every day,kitchen waste and other organic waste collected from Xinmin Street and Xinmei street were collected and transported here,and processed into organic fertilizer through aerobic fermentation.
According to Ke Shouliang,a full-time manager of waste classification in Xinmei street,the implementation of this project has realized the closed-loop treatment of kitchen waste,which not only avoids the problems of"running,dripping,leaking and sprinkling"caused by the long-distance and cross regional transportation of kitchen waste,but also makes the organic fertilizer produced by the treatment be used locally as a resource,saving farmers'Fertilization costs and improving agricultural output and harvest.
It is reported that the project is led by the Institute of urban environment,Chinese Academy of Sciences(hereinafter referred to as"the Institute"),which currently processes about 800 kilograms of kitchen waste every day.If it reaches full load,the daily processing capacity can reach 2 tons.The data shows that about 5%of other garbage is sorted out on average per ton of kitchen waste,mainly garbage bags.2 tons of kitchen waste can finally get 300 kg-350 kg of high-quality organic fertilizer.Since it was put into use in December last year,the project has treated more than 50 tons of kitchen waste,produced nearly 10 tons of high-quality organic fertilizer,and the reduction rate of kitchen waste is more than 80%.
Local recycling development promotes the new mode of waste treatment
At present,most of the organic fertilizers produced by the demonstration project are distributed to villagers in need through the streets for free trial.Since this year,Hong Youhua,a villager in Caizhai village,has received many free organic fertilizers to fertilize cucumber and cowpea seedlings in the field.
Lin Xiangyu,an assistant researcher of the Institute,told reporters that the fermentation products of kitchen waste produced in Caizhai,including organic matter,nutrients,seed germination index,moisture content and other product indicators,have reached and are better than the standard of"organic fertilizer"issued by the Ministry of agriculture and rural areas,and can be used as high-quality organic fertilizer or soil conditioner,which can be directly returned to the field for forest reuse,so as to realize the in-situ recycling of kitchen waste.
It is understood that the street and Research Institute hope to gradually bring these organic fertilizers to the market."The selling price of organic fertilizer products of the same quality on the market is 800 yuan/ton-1000 yuan/ton."Lin Xiangyu said that if the sales income and the saved outward transportation expenses can offset the resource cost of kitchen waste and generate a certain profit,it is expected to realize the new model of kitchen waste treatment of"waste classification and reduction-kitchen waste recycling-organic fertilizer to promote production",promote the virtuous cycle of waste classification,further expand the radiation range of kitchen waste resource treatment,and further realize waste reduction and recycling.
